A stroll through Central Park

Central Park

As we enter dreary winter days my old photos give me a chance to flee back to lingering summer days when I was as blissful as rays of sunshine. God I miss summer, I miss sun and I miss being outside out and about in my favorite city.

Central Park

As I scroll through old photos (memories) covered up in my cozy blanket sipping my favorite Persian mint tea, I realize that one of my most favorite places in this city is in fact Central Park. How cliché (eye roll), I know that’s what your thinking but when you live in one of the busiest cities in the world you long for a quiet place with greenery.  What better place than a quiet green landscape full of life, history, and entertainment. And yes I love central park in springtime the most when I can grab a cup of coffee and stroll through the park watching the colors come to life at Shakespeare Garden, watch life bloom at Conservatory Garden, visit the zoo, see children playing. I love it in the Fall when I can witness the famous fall foliage, see the pink sun reflection on the bronze statues of the park, watch runners pass by, visit the Kerbs Boathouse and the Belvedere Castle hear the waterfall. I love it in the summer, smells like fresh cut grass and makes me think of ice cream J so many amazing memories where made at picnics my friends and I held at Sheep Meadow sipping rose, reading my favorite books, going for a boat ride in the lake, and cooling off in the Bethesda Terrace by the fountain.

Even in the Wintertime I love central park! Making snowman, ice-skating at the Wollman Rink, looking at the reflection of the city on the frozen lake and thinking how lucky we are to live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. My favorite of all is when my favorite friend visits and we get to be silly together under the NYC sun at my favorite park.
