Day 5

Speak your truth.

Authenticity and truthfulness can free you.

The Vishuddha or Throat Chakra is the fifth wheel of energy and it’s the first of the three spiritual/higher chakras.

The Throat Chakra is associated with ether, or a space-like quality that symbolizes an open voice from where authenticity and truthfulness can flow.

Representing our ability to speak our truth, express ideas clearly, and be in tune with both our inner and outer intentions.

When this chakra is balanced, you speak, listen and express yourself through a higher form of communication and authenticity.

Vishuddhi, or Vishuddha, essentially means filter. If you have achieved mastery over this energy center or in other words your Vishuddhi is active, it filters everything in a positive way. For example when a wrong word wants to come out of your mouth that you would regret later, a thought, emotion, idea, energy, or impulse that can poison your life. An active Vishuddhi saves you from all these influences. In other words, once your Vishuddhi is active, whatever happens around you will not have an impact on you anymore. You will be established within yourself. And you tend to become a powerful being. Think, speak, act and lead the truth!

My intention behind today is to discover:

Satnam, meaning “I am truth,” or “Truth is my essence.”Allow you to fully embody your truth, find your voice and experience the magic/freedom of living and expressing your truest self.

Meditation 5

Encourage you to drink some tea/water to warm up your throat as we will use our own voice to take a journey within. Use headphones to ensure you can hear this meditation well as I will guide us through a “vibration” experience.

Yoga session 5

When this center is out of alignment, you can experience the inability to speak your truth, to ask for what you need, want, or desire, and it can result in a sore throat, thyroid problems, and neck/shoulder pain.

I would like to leave you to explore what this chakra means to you and how you can find your expression of your inner truth. I have created the below handout for you to explore so many different ways and aspects that you can awaken and heal this space. One of the most beneficial is to sing, to hum and to say things out loud.
Chakra Mantra: “I follow and speak my truth.”

Chanting session 5

What yogis have known for several thousand years: mantra, whether chanted, whispered, or silently recited, is a powerful meditation and therapy tool. Western science is only now starting to catch up.

Neuroscientists, equipped with advanced brain-imaging tools, are now beginning to quantify and confirm some of the health benefits of this ancient practice, such as its ability to help free your mind of background chatter and calm your nervous system.

The below Mantra has been specifically chosen for today as the meaning behind the lyrics is:

“Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu”

May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.

Chanted by my talented friend Steffi Bichweiler, her voice leads you to feel strong vibrations. Simply enjoy listening or join and sing along with her! @go.cyclic on instagram.

Lastly…

“When you Commit to Something, do it with All Your Heart”

“When you do things from your soul you feel a river moving in you, a joy. When action comes from another section, the feeling disappears.”_ Rumi

When you realize your truth and express it in all aspects of your life… it is then when you have achieved freedom. You cannot live a lie, live an unbalanced life, live two separate lives …. it will not help you achieve inner or outer balance and peace.

This is not easy, trust me! We all go through some rough times and set backs along the way. I would like to leave you with the following prompt:

5) Don’t let perceived setbacks along your journey discourage you

Keep revisiting your intention, knowing that this is the miracle you’re standing to create. If you find yourself being held back by old fears or stories, do the work to dismantle or debunk them, whether through breath work, meditation, yoga, talking to those you can guide you, or journaling – whatever works for you. Your perseverance will show the universe that you’re not going to take no for an answer, and you’re not messing around. Channel your truth!
